| Louise was born in Consett and started playing Clarinet at 8 years
of age with the help of County Durham Peripatetic Service.
By the time she left school she was at Grade 8 standard on Clarinet and was also above Grade 5 at Saxophone and Flute. Whilst attaining her Bachelor of Arts in Music (Honours) degree at University, where she majored in Performance, she received private lessons under Jennifer Murray (Northern Symphonia). Shortly after graduating Louise was employed by both County Durham and Tees Valley Music services as a peripatetic teacher. This has enabled her to teach the full spectrum of children and has included a lot of experience in dealing with children with learning difficulties.

As far as her playing is concerned she is now equally proficient on Saxophone, Clarinet and Flute and she is in demand all around the County. Louise played with the County Wind Ensemble for 12 years, playing all over the world, eventually helping out as a member of staff. She has also helped run and conduct Stockton Junior Wind Band. Louise is a founder member of the Phoenix Wind Band, a charitable organisation ran out of Richmond, where she is Solo Clarinettist. This band boasts some of the best musicians in the North East.
